Jazz at the Farmers’ Market continues its tradition of cool jazz on Sunday afternoons in Vail Village – performing from a new tented venue at Vail’s newest neighborhood, Solaris at Vail. Kathy Morrow has been singing and playing the piano in the Vail Valley for the last 18 years, after traveling and performing in Europe, Asia and parts of the Middle East. Her unique energy, vocal range and musical sense are appreciated by all those who experience her performances. Cam Miller, of the American Rag, said, “she’s a splendid vocalist, who can get up close to a ballad and then sprint through a scat chorus with amazing spirit and enthusiasm.” With Morrow on piano and vocals, the trio is completed by Tom Paxton on bass and Allan Finney on drums. Triple Bypass Bike Ride, eastbound I-70 corridor from Avon to Evergreen
6:30 to 11 a.m.
Team Evergreen hosts its inaugural Triple Bypass East-Ride and the second-leg of its inaugural Double Triple Bypass event. Unlike the traditional westbound Triple Bypass Ride, riders will begin their journey in Avon, navigate over three mountain passes and finish in Evergreen. Heavy bicycle traffic related to this event will be experienced throughout frontage roads within Vail from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Heavy bicycle traffic should also be expected on the bike path heading eastbound between Vail and Frisco between 7 and 11 a.m.

Big Closing Day

It’s been dumping all day on Vail Mountain. By early afternoon the snow had gotten fairly deep in the back bowls. With snow in the forecast tonight and tomorrow, it looks like we’re in for an incredible closing day.

A powder day is great way to end our incredible season!

Five Hundred Inches

Vail Mountain reported five new inches of snow today. That makes the season total an even 500”!  It’s been a great year and looks to continue right to the end on Sunday with snow in the forecast everyday.
